So I shall resume to boring old writing with (slightly) better spelling and punctuation.

My final day of Juneathoning was a pretty decent one. I cycled just shy of 50 miles and felt like I could have done more if it weren’t for actually seeing my family on Saturday. A lot of planning was done at the refreshment point…

…for the great copathlon bike ride and along with enjoying the ride, I got to meet other members of the team who I’ll be spending a sweaty week with at the end of July.

Many congratulations to everyone who has managed to jog(or whatever), log, and blog their way through June. I have found it tougher this year than in the past. Grey matter and muscle matter clearly both on the decline!
So once again, seriously well done if you have stuck with it – with the rules or with the spirit.

As for the great cycle shorts giveaway of a few days ago I have put all the entrants’ names into a hat and abradypus was the unlikely winner! So Louise, if you do actually want the shorts (and weren’t just humouring me) then perhaps send your address via private twitter correspondence and I’ll get them sent off to you as soon as I can.

I’ll leave you with a pic taken on Saturday’s ride, as we were peddling along. A bit of a flukey one to be honest given that I was trying not to drop my phone and we were travelling different speeds… but this is me with Andy, a great bloke who’s son has inspired our fundraising efforts.

  1. P.S – for those that might ask… Pole dancing efforts will have to wait for another day.

Scroll, scroll, scroll to bottom… ah, there you are! All finished! With blogpost & Juneathon 🙂

Congratulations on a stellar effort! Wish I could say the same about my own Juneathon this time, but I was too busy vacationing & eating half-orders of sticky toffee pudding… as my sister ate the other half every time. No crimes were committed — unless you count poor table manners, ie. my lavish licking of the dish afterward?

Love it. Great way to finish Juneathon (both on the exercise and blogging fronts).

  4. Great blog, good cycling!

Great Juneathon well done. And a lovely pic of you both and especially the broody looking sky in the background!
